Delighted to sing with Ayr Choral Union tonight to celebrate their 140th anniversary and to present them with a copy of the Early Day Motion I submitted to celebrate their ‘Scotland Sings’ award. We premiered a new work from Sir James Macmillan which was fairly tricky but came together on the night – just as well, with him sitting in the audience as our guest.
As I am in London during the week, I only managed a few rehearsals so was afraid I might end up miming at the back but Hans made me do my homework and it was worth it. Concert was superb fun for the choir – real party atmosphere with a full house and concert followed with a party and community sing-a-long!
