Delighted to visit GE Caledonian at Prestwick today to present Fraser Wallace with a copy of the Early Day Motion I submitted to Parliament congratulating him on being awarded Scotland’s Apprentice of the Year for 2018.

Fraser initially completed a Foundation Apprenticeship at Ayrshire College while in sixth year at School and is now one of the Modern Apprentices at GE Caledonian.

It was great to chat with Fraser and also Managing Director, George Adams, and to meet some of the second year apprentices. I was particularly pleased to see several young women taking up a career in engineering, which offers a great future.
